Sydney was in Morning, Noon, and Night at Company One! It is a new play written by Kirsten Greenidge and the production was directed by Summer L. Williams. The play ran April 26th through May 25th.

This spring semester Sydney stared in a short film!
Sydney soloed Addicted by Jon Vinyl for her a capella group, BU Bassline, and she performed this song throughout fall semester at different events. Click Here to see a recording of Addicted from Bassline's winter concert.
Sydney was an understudy in Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet by Tarell Alvin McCraney at Boston University. She understudied the roles of Shun/Elegua and Shuanta Iyun, and the play was directed by Rosalind Bevan.
Sydney was an acting intern at the Summer Theatre of New Canaan. She was a part of the Ensemble of the mainstage production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Sydney worked with other professional actors who have either recently started their careers or have been in the business for a while. She loved getting to know everyone and learn from them. This internship also gave her a chance to explore her love for education. Sydney worked with STONC’s DramaRamas program, which provides performance opportunities for children ages 8-18 with special needs. And, she worked on the Junior Company show with middle school students entering grades 5-9.
Sydney made her professional debut as Squeak in The Color Purple at the Umbrella Arts Center in Concord, MA. The musical was directed by BW Gonzalez and ran May 12th through June 4th. Tickets/Information Here
Sydney finished her first year of college, and she said she has learned so much about herself and her craft. She is excited to continue her training and cannot wait to be back in the fall!
Sydney co-stage managed HALF, a senior thesis production, at BU. The play was written by Valyn Lyric Turner and directed by Jayna Shoda Meyer. Sydney had an amazing experience working on that show, which has further peaked her interest in both stage management and directing.
Sydney joined Boston University's BassLine, a premier POC all-gender a cappella group. She is excited to sing with them!
Sydney is beginning her freshman year at Boston University!!
Sydney performed in her last show at Play Group Theatre in White Plains, NY as Jack’s Mother in Into the Woods. She is officially a PGT Alumni now!
Sydney committed to Boston University to pursue a BFA in Acting with a Concentration in Musical Theatre. The college application and audition process was long, but she believes that her hard work will all be worth it in the end. Choosing a program was difficult for Sydney, and she had to figure out what school would suit her needs best. She researched the curriculum, the community she would be joining, and everything else under the sun. Boston University checks off all of the boxes on her list, and she can’t wait to begin in the fall.
Sydney performed in her last show at Woodlands High School as Ti Moune in Once on This Island. It was a bittersweet moment, but she is excited for her future :)
